Week #33 - Hamish

The misty sky glistened as I lay in my cosy sleeping bag looking up at the Southern
Cross. The moon and stars twinkled and shone through the mist. Owls hooted in the
trees above and the cold night breeze whistled thru the leaves .The forest floor was
alive with movement. Scuttling around the forest floor, Kiwis hunted. Digging for food
chatting excitedly to one another. Hedgehogs snuffled  while gathering tasty bugs.  
The rustle and bustle of the night life gently rocked me to sleep. 
Suddenly I woke with a start! "The deafening screams echoed through the cold night.”
I froze!
